Tz Bees
A small, hobby apiary in Otsego, MN producing small-batch local honey from Basswood, White Clover, and wildflowers.
Tz Bees is nestled among farmland and woodland in the heart of Otsego, Minnesota. We keep just a few hives and focus on healthy bees and simple, careful beekeeping. Our honey is raw and double strained - never heated - to preserve its natural aroma and enzymes.
We harvest in small batches to capture the different local nectar sources.
In the spring and early summer our bees forage Basswood and eventually White Clover. The result is a pleasantly sweet honey with a light, minty note from the Basswood bloom. It is very light in color!
For the rest of the summer and into fall, our bees forage on a variety of wildflowers including Goldenrod and Aster, which gives the honey a darker color and traditional wildflower flavor.
Local pickup in Otsego is available by arrangement.
